Rugby Open 22 Three of my pieces have been selected to be part of the Rugby Open 22 Exhibition at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum including Monochrome Grid 4 (detail pictured). The exhibition opens with a Festive Evening Friday 2 December including the exhibition preview, drinks and nibbles. All welcome. The exhibition continues until 4 February 2023. The Henton Ellis Prize Thrilled that my piece Monochrome Reconstruction has been awarded the Henton Ellis Prize at this year's LSA Annual Exhibition. "This creative work by Amy Bonsor uses monoprint, pen and stitch. Its skilfully created gradations appears like a 3D drawing. We felt it was open to interpretation that provoked thought and discussion." - Judges' comments The Annual Exhibition is on show at Newarke Houses Museum until 18 December. Mostly Monochrome
13th January- 30th April 2022 I am currently showing as part of a group exhibition, Mostly Monochrome, at Unit Twelve Gallery in Staffordshire. The exhibition showcases high-quality contemporary craft with a limited, often black, white and grey palette. There is an occasional and exciting pop of colour too! Alongside my pieces, the exhibition features work by: Beatrice Mayfield, Hannah White, Sue Brown, Sean J Thornhill, Lisa Krigel, Bekky May, Lubna Din, Rachel Brown, Amy Stringer, Sarah Packington and Judith Brown. The George Pickard Prize Over the moon that my piece Monochrome Boundaries has been awarded the George Pickard Prize at this year's LSA Annual Exhibition. ‘The judges were impressed by the intricacy and finesse brought to this ostensibly simple form by the craft process, and the delicate balance wrought between its presence as a drawing and an object.’ - Andy Price on behalf of the three independent judges The Annual Exhibition is on show at Newarke Houses Museum until 31 October and continues online. Solo Exhibition - Repetition, Reconstruction and Rhythm Excited to announce an upcoming solo exhibition at ACEarts in Somerton. 30 October - 13 November. A collection of tactile pieces exploring repetition, transition and changing surfaces.
